Carries the state. The left side says how Ψ\PsiΨ changes in time; the right side applies the Hamiltonian to that same Ψ\PsiΨ.
Ψ\PsiΨ appears on both sides: the Hamiltonian acts on the current state to produce its instantaneous rate of change.
